How we got Fawking started
What began as a miscommunication on the green between our founder and his caddy has spawned an off-the-cuff approach to golf apparel as we know it.
Picture this, a bunch of guys ready for a day of golf, wind blowing off the Irish coast at Doonbeg International, when out of the blue, our caddy – a true Irish gent – hears this from our founder Tony Horling, “Ready for a round of Whack Fuck?”
The Irishmen standing there, clubs in hand, thinking, “Whack FAWK? What in the world?”
NO, Whack FUCK. Whack FAWK?
But hey, when in Ireland, right?
“Sure, give us a round of that Whack FAWK!”
And just like that, what started as a quirky twist of the tongue turned into our rallying cry.
It’s more than just a term; it’s the start of something new. A blend of the good ol’ game with a fresh, rebellious twist. It’s our nod to the traditions we love and a wink at the thrill of shaking things up and celebrating individual style.
